Mahsuri Mausoleum
The Mahsuri Mausoleum is situated in Kampong Mawat, about 12 km northwest of Kuah. The Mahsuri Mausoleum was erected in honor of a Langkawi princess, which is known as Mahsuri, who is a fair maiden and was unjustly accused of adultery.

Legend has it that Mahsuri was sentenced to death and in her dying breath she laid a curse on the island that it would remain barren for seven generations. The legend goes on to say that when she was executed she bled white blood, signifying her innocence.

Telaga Tujuh (Seven Wells)
Literally Telaga Tujuh means “Seven Wells”. Telaga Tujuh is actually a series of crystal clear waterfalls running 100 metres down through seven rejuvenating natural pools.

Trekking up to the falls is indeed a challenge as the paths are slippery. Visitors attempting this feat are advised to be cautious, as at certain parts of the falls, there is sudden drop of over 91 metres.

One of several cave attractions in Langkawi island, this 60 metre-long cave derived its name from its most notorious inhabitants, the fruit bats.
